"Once I Heard..."

06/09/2013 17:41

Once I heard my father cry

I knew fairy tales did not come true

For if such a man could be broken

The world had to be so very cruel

The love of his life was taken

One single rainy night

Just a shell of a man was left

From the years he had to fight

So no tall tales were read to me

No "once upon a time..."

I kept my eyes on reality

And undried tears had made me blind

So I never believed in love

The future, I cared nothing about

For a sickness had infected me

And pain was all that was allowed

Now those dreams I dreamed... unrealized

On that night, I told them good-bye

For my life had changed forever

Once I heard... my father cry

The Red, White and Blue" dedicated to 9-11

05/11/2013 22:19

Foundations on land, Icons in the sky.

Two man made creations, Forever etched in time.

Standing bold and strong, Confidence inshrined.

Countless lives living, Inside its confines.

A motion picture's silhouette, Placed there a thousand times.

Always a setting's backdrop, Just part of the skyline.

To the souls who constructed, Taking most of their lives.

Just dreamers making America, Their dreams had come alive.

Although New Yorkers took for granted, You would never be suprised.

The whole world could clearly see, The pride shown in their eyes.

Where else in the world, But "the city that never sleeps".

Coexisting side by side, With every religion and every creed.

A day seemingly not special, But infamy was in flight.

And our hearts would soon stop, by the horror of those sights.

The events that transpired, To exploit, I refuse.

But will forever haunt my mind, By the lives we had to lose.

But this is America! And again we pulled strong.

We mourned the ones we lost, And then searched for the wrong.

Though some refuse to believe it, We are not a peaceful breed.

We are the warriors of the world, And upon evil men we feed.

Though we did not look for trouble, It finds us more than not.

And we shall rise to any challenge, So let it not be forgot.

That this is America, Home of the brave and free.

Where the Red, White and Blue flies high, For all the world to see.

... God Bless America...

What Wickedness I See

05/01/2013 09:45

What wickedness I see,
conjured in my dreams.
Life and death's a struggle
and it's all because of me.
Screams of the innocent,
cannot silence my laughter.
Hell is all around us,
now and forever after.
Beckon unto me,
pleading in my dreams.
Satan controls my sight
and blood is all I see.
What wickedness I see,
is this just a dream?
For if I die in my sleep,
so too in reality?!!!
The depts of truth I see,
in the mirror facing me.
As demons caress my soul,
oh, what wickedness I see!

"My Star"

04/26/2013 21:21

Haunting is the enchanted night
Possibilities abound this immortal flight
Reckless caution engulfs my mind
Transforming reflections once lost in time
Those glorious days of long ago
passionate embrass of lovers flow
With youthful abandon our hearts will cry
Fearless we embark a wild ride
A night of flames, our fires collide
Simply wishing under the moonlite sky
Silenced by age, captured by light
Now only a star to dream upon.
On this lonely night.

But Behold, Enchantment

The release of my book, "But Behold, Enchantment", is really exciting for me. My poems are now able to be read by all. After years and years of just writing for myself, I can now share them with everyone. My life has always been about writing. Songs, poems, short stories, novels and even a children's series. I am finally going forward, not only with this book, but many more opportunities that are coming my way. I hope that you will check out my book. It can be purchased on Amazon.com and EBay. If you try it out, I am certain that you will enjoy it.    Keep reading.
